Chief Investment Officer & Managing Principal

Mr. Landle is responsible for setting LHA’s investment strategy and allocation decisions. He oversees the manager search, selection, and monitoring functions. As a Managing Principal, Jeff also contributes to the strategy and day-to-day operations of the firm.

Mr. Landle has been an investment professional involved with hedge funds and private equity for nearly 25 years. Jeff was a founding principal of HARDT GROUP, member of its Executive Committee, and Chairman of the Investment Management Committee of HARDT GROUP Global Management AG. Prior to founding HARDT GROUP, he was a Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of HVB Alternative Advisers Inc., in New York, where he also served as Chairman of the firm’s Investment Management Committee.

Before joining HVB Alternatives in 2002, Mr. Landle was a Senior Vice President and Head of Marketable Alternative Investments at Commonfund, where he oversaw a series of hedge fund portfolios, representing over 100 endowment and foundation clients. Previously, Mr. Landle was at Blackstone Alternative Asset Management, Mr. Landle was the Vice President of Alternative Investments at Commonfund, and for 10 years a Managing Director at Twenty-First Securities Corp., a New York-based brokerage firm, where he was responsible for Arbitrage Strategies, and he was also a Portfolio Manager & Analyst at Moore & Schley, a New York-based brokerage and asset management firm. Mr. Landle started his career as an Equity Analyst and Portfolio Strategist at E.F. Hutton.

Mr. Landle was an early adopter and innovator of seeding and direct investing in Hedge Funds and is a frequent speaker and commentator in the industry. He holds a BS in Finance from St. John’s University in New York and an MBA in Finance from New York University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
