Chief Financial Officer & Managing Principal

Mr. Hausler is responsible for financial controls, accounting, and audit management of LHA’s underlying affiliated funds. As a Managing Principal, David also contributes to the strategy and day-to-day operations of the firm.

Mr. Hausler returned to LHA after his employment as the Controller at Higher Moment Capital, a Boston based quantitative hedge fund adviser. Previously, Mr. Hausler was Chief Financial and Compliance Officer at Helios Partners Fund Management, a New York based start-up hedge fund, where he was responsible for oversight of all tax and accounting, regulatory, compliance, administrative and marketing matters. Prior to Helios Partners, Mr. Hausler was the Controller at Sandler Capital, a registered investment adviser based in New York managing $1.2 billion in both hedge funds and private equity funds. He was responsible for all accounting, tax reporting and back-office administration for four hedge funds and led the implementation of the fund’s portfolio accounting systems. Prior to his tenure at Sandler Capital, Mr. Hausler worked as a Controller at Centre Partners, a registered New York based middle market private equity investment firm with a capital base of $1.2 billion. In this capacity, he led the launch of the Accounting and Finance Group and established the accounting and operational infrastructure that supported Centre Partners and the Centre Funds.

Prior to Centre Partners, Mr. Hausler was the Accounting Manager at Smith Management, a highly diversified private investment fund based in New York with $500 million under management, where he helped restructure their complex in-house financial and accounting operations.

Mr. Hausler has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from SUNY Old Westbury.
